modernwarfare2_soldierCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has reportedly earned more than US$1 billion in worldwide retail sales. It took an estimated $550 million in the first five days of its release.

The Los Angeles times reported that the publisher of the game Activision Blizzard spent upwards of $200 million on advertising. The game has $40-50 million production budget.
