student_examWriting answers on arms is found to be the most popular cheating method among UK students. Have you ever cheated in the exams?

Cheating methods revealed

The ways in which university students cheat during examinations have been made public in the United Kingdom under Freedom of Information Act.

The old-fashioned technique of writing hidden answers on the arms is most popular among other techniques that include hi-tech scams such as using the internet with mobile phones.

Cheating methods include
  • writing notes on students’ palms and legs
  • buying coursework and essays off the internet
  • stealing and using a mobile
  • faking illnesses to have poor graded improved
  • going to the lavatory – where they hid notes
  • plagiarising course work from the web
  • hiding notes in pencil cases and
  • using stand-ins to take their exams

Worst offenders

The list of worst campuses for cheating is below.
1. Teesside University - 17 students expelled

2. Middlesex University - 15 students expelled

3. Kingston - 10 students expelled

Oxford and Cambridge also dirty

Oxford students were reported to be among those who have uploaded material from charging sites including full essays on Shakespeare. It was also found that almost one in two Cambridge University students in a poll of 1,000 admitted to cheating in their studies.
